Lastly, what are some topics you'd like to see in future videos?

Thank you all for the love and support! <3

  2. I prefer reading because you can learn everything at your own rate and that's what's so nice about it but videos are good. I won't be watching this but I'm leaving a thumbs up because a ton of good work was put into this video.

  3. As of January 29, 2020 kali no longer has root as default user. instead the vmware version provided has the password and user name as kali.

You can find the previous version here: http://old.kali.org/kali-images/kali-2019.4/

if having that root/toor user and pw is more satisfying. Otherwise, kali is a default sudo user, so just a few small changes so far as I know. I'm learning and new, but figured this little bit out and thought I'd share. If it is counterproductive or wrong, feel free to let me know.

As somebody totally new to linux and coding in general, I'm leaving a few notes that may help anybody else.

    On Kali Linux 2020.1a Release

git and ftp were already installed.

    got error
    pip: command not found
    while trying to install impacket

    so I ran

    apt update
    followed by
    apt upgrade

it took a while but after I ran

    apt install python-pip

    everything worked.

  4. Thank you so much. I'm beginning my journey into programming and cyber security and this is a huge help. I'd already stumbled across a bit, and this ties so much together.

  5. You are amazing sir! Thank you so much for everything!!! I recently put Linux Mint 19.3 on an old HP Pavilion and so far so good! I really appreciate your work here!! I just do not have the funds to do anything more at the moment so for now, this free content is a LIFE SAVER!!!

  6. Which bug bounty platform is great for a person who want to go in network security(finding bugs in network)? Like hack.me which is specifically dedicated to web app security. Please recommend me.

  7. I'm trying to follow your course and I can do so just fine with vbox or a hard install, however i installed vmware workstation player on my debian based machine, installed just fine. Got Kali up and going on vmware but after reboot got this message…..dev/vmmon not found! UHG! I've tried getting new RSA keys and reconfig the module but no luck. Anyways thank you so much for this course. I'm a beginner at IT and just now getting my A+ but I'm fascinated with cyber security and plan to move in that direction. Again thank you for your contributions!

  8. I just found this course and decided to watch it and follow along, etc. but when I use some commands shown in the video; they don't work, for example, if I put "adduser John" the console replies with "bash: adduser: command not found", can you help?

  9. If anyone could help that would be great.

I'm trying to adduser. It says that the adduser command is not found. Now I don't know if this is because I'm not the 'root' user as Kali 2020 had done away with root users and made everyone a regular non privileged user or what … help would be appreciated!

    Thank you!
