3. I have one thing to say : most people that hack their system doesn’t do it for pirating videogames and playing backups most of them do mods and stuff like that

6. This is why I hate Nintendo nowadays. SONY does something like preventing cross-play (something that no one is entitled to) and the world catches fire. Nintendo on the other hand makes a sloppy system with anti-consumer practices, abuses fair uses and strikes down videos with false claims and they keep getting a free pass. Unless they get with the times and change their practices, I'm never buying any of their products ever again.

9. I was wondering why people was thinking this was illegal. I didnt know that they declare hacking consoles was for pirating. Honestly there are many other things you could do with a hack consoles . heck some games might not even be pirating and just are digital copys.

Sony settled that court case because they were about to lose on the grounds that once you pay for your console it is no longer the property of the creator of said console and therefore the creator of said console or device has no say in what happens to said console or device after the transaction has been made. For any console manufacturer to successfully put someone away or stop them from doing this there has to be a legal binding contract signed by the customer and a representative of said manufacturer at the point of transaction (when you pay for it). Nintendo probably knows all of this, which is most likely why they're attacking both Skullator and Tech James

20. Sick of Nintendo´s harrasment. They´ll end up blocking people for even putting stickers on the console. If you purchase a car you are entitled to tint its windows, change the radio or even add head rest screens for your kids, even change its engine components. How come you are not allowed to do whatever you want with the console you have purchased and own.

Nintendo legitimately makes money selling software, I understand they don't want their platform to become a haven for piracy. But prohibiting to talk or give instructions about modding is not something free societies are ready to accept, I think. All this looks like the world is becoming some sort of cyberpunk dystopia: corporations having a degree of influence that, in practice, is making laws and governments more and more irrelevant.

29. hacking the Nintendo switch to play emulators and Homebrew games is a waste of time. we can play emulators and Homebrew games on almost every console. including these cheap knockoff China made abominations. if you're going to hack the Nintendo switch, hack it to play actual Nintendo switch backups. we don't need another way to play Super Mario Bros.

30. If they invested more in anti hacking security for the switch, this wouldn’t have become a problem so soon in the systems lifespan, but then again hackers seem more determined today to break in to hardware.
    I could care less either way, I don’t have issues with buying the software me or my kids want. When hacking you end up with every title available for the most part, I can’t think of one system that I would actually play every single release for.

31. geohot went way beyond re-enabling OtherOS on the PS3. He released the master signing and encryption keys for the console to the public. That blew the doors off the PS3. That is what led to PS3 custom firmware. If you have a hacked PS3 you can thank geohot.

33. If you buy a Switch the Switch now belongs to you! Nintendo does not now own that Switch, so Nintendo has no rights to say what you do with what is now yours.. If NINTENDO carries on controlling the consumer, NINTENDO will loose so much credibility and customers to their stupid decisions.. NINTENDO have every right to protect their copyright and business.. I just think they are over controlling and will loose profit in the long run.. I wish the 80's-90's SEGA were still in the game, so they can F#*k Nintendo up, I wish NINTENDO were the company back in the day to close down and SEGA were still making Consoles.. 37. ill just stick to my emulator on my android phone rather than be playing online NesFlix form the nintendon't switch so lame and garbage and about jailbreak and if i remember correctly if i buy a switch it mine right. i can do anything on that thing right.

38. I bought a Switch from Nintendo. Since that moment that system is entirely mine, not from Nintendo. So as long as I don't use illegal backups I can do whatever I want with it, I will loose the guarantee but that's all….

41. Is it still possible to get the 1st version of the switch or have they replaced them all out? Is there of way to be able to make sure you are getting the 1st version to be able to hack?

42. Hmmm. I seem to remember a video from back when the Switch was new Vbdirect on the subject that the user agreement implied that the Switch remained the property of Nintendo even though you bought it (sounds crazy). So the big N CAN do as they please if that is correct
