  1. If you have the attribute error in nmap just copy the nmap folder from the download and paste it in the project. Hope it works!

  2. If your PyCharm does not detect the nmap module:

    1. Import nmap module manually by File -> Settings -> Project: your_project_name -> Project Interpreter

    2. The modules you can import will be shown here.
    3. Add the python-nmap module by clicking on + sign located at right side
    4. A pop up showing all available modules will be displayed. Search for python-nmap
    5. The python-nmap module should be shown in step (2)
    6. Apply changes.

Note: PyCharm may still not auto suggest module name/functions. Proceed anyways.

  3. If you're having trouble running the code in PyCharm before you export it as a python file you can always use (CTRL + SHIFT + F10). For some reason I was having issues installing packages through terminal on ParrotOS I asked a forum and they were saying FireJail may be sandboxing PyCharm. I used the GUI and everything worked out fine. Will update here if I figure out what's going wrong for sure.

  4. is nmap working on windows 10 without any issue? pls help i got an error "nmap program was not found in path". Although, i can import it in python but when i am trying to call nmap.PortScanner() it raises an error. Any help?
